Core drilling in Bristol is the standard method for creating precise circular holes through structural concrete — cleaner, quieter and less damaging to surrounding structure than percussive methods. Our water-cooled rotary drilling equipment produces smooth, accurately positioned penetrations with no vibration shock to slabs, walls or columns. We drill to any depth and in any orientation: vertical, horizontal or angled.
We carry out pre-works ferro scanning before every core drilling operation to locate reinforcement and confirm safe drill positions — this is standard practice on all our Bristol projects. For post-tensioned slabs we carry out a GPR survey first. We do not drill post-tensioned structures without a prior scan.
